NPA-GMPNSF International – GMP
Founded in 1944, NSF International is committed to protecting and improving human health on a global scale. NSF International is an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides standards development, product certification, auditing, education and risk management for public health and the environment. NSF International’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Registration Program enables manufacturers to become independently registered by NSF International to meet GMP requirements. These GMP requirements are listed in Section 8 of the American National Standard 173 (NSF/ANSI 173) which is the only accredited national standard in the dietary supplement industry and FDA’s 21 CFR part 111.
USP Verified Program for Dietary Supplements
The United States Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is a scientific nonprofit organization that sets standards for the identity, strength, quality, and purity of medicines, food ingredients, and dietary supplements manufactured, distributed and consumed worldwide. USP’s drug standards are enforceable in the United States by the Food and Drug Administration, and these standards are developed and relied upon in more than 140 countries. The USP Dietary Supplement Verification Program is a voluntary testing and auditing program that helps dietary supplement manufacturers ensure the production of quality products for consumers.
Organic Certifiers has been certifying the organic community since 1996. They are USDA, IFOAM, ISO65 (EU Equivalent) and CARTV (Canadian Organic Regimen) Accredited, and were one of the first companies accredited by the USDA in early 2002. Organic Certifiers is committed to working with organic producers dedicated to providing consumers with certified organic products.
Contract Packaging Association Member
The Contract Packaging Association is the premiere not-for-profit trade association for the contract packaging industry, whose mission is to serve the needs of member companies through continuing education, market knowledge and customer relationships. Formed in July, 1992, CPA membership is comprised of the nation’s leading contract packagers, performing a wide array of packaging functions from the simplest to the most complex. The CPA, and its members, strive to establish strong ethical standards among contract packagers and their clients, to increase knowledge and expertise within the contract packaging industry, and to encourage the effective use of contract packaging services.
Natural Products Association Member
Founded in 1936, the Natural Products Association is the nation’s largest and oldest non-profit organization dedicated to the natural products industry, and represents more than 10,000 retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors of natural products.
American Association for Quality Member
The American Society for Quality (ASQ) is the world’s leading authority on quality and has been at the forefront of the quality movement for almost 60 years. With more than 100,000 members, this professional association advances learning, quality improvement, and knowledge exchange to improve business results, and to create better workplaces and communities worldwide.
National Safety Council
The National Safety Council (NSC) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, nongovernmental public service organization promoting health and safety in the United States of America. The group focuses on areas where the greatest number of preventable injuries and deaths occur, including workplace safety, teen driving, cell phone use while driving and safety in homes and communities.
NY / NJ Foreign Freight Forwarders and Brokers Association
The New York/New Jersey Foreign Freight Forwarders & Brokers Association, Inc. is one of the oldest transportation related organizations in the United States today. Founded in 1917, the association provides information on issues and developments important to its members; serves as a voice for the Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage and OTI communities in policy and regulation decision-making; and protects and advocates the best interests of the group as a whole.
